CALICO CHEESE BALL

Ingredients:
2 (8oz.) cream cheese, soft
½ cup grated green pepper
¼ cup grated onion
2 tsp. Lawreys seasoning salt
½ cup pecans or walnuts, chopped medium, not fine

Instructions: Mix it up the night before and let it set.  Good with veggies.  Also can roll cheese ball in the nuts.  Put in dish to dip.

TACO DIP

Ingredients:
32 oz. refried beans, mixed with 1 or 2 pkgs. taco mix
16 oz. sour cream (enough to cover beans)
4 oz. chopped black olives
1 large sweet onion, chopped
2 cups shredded cheese
2-3 large tomatoes, chopped

Instructions:
1.Layer in 9” x 12” dish in following order:

•Refried beans
•Sour cream
•Olives
•Onion
•Tomatoes
•Cheese

2.Serve with taco chips

WINTER CHESTNUT WRAPS

Ingredients:
2 cups whole water chestnuts
2 pkgs. Thick bacon, cut in half and partly cooked, not crisp.
2 cups Catsup
1 ¼ cup sugar

Instructions:
1.  Wrap bacon half around each whole chestnut, secure with toothpick.  Place in a glass pan.
2.  Mix Catsup & sugar together, pour over chestnut wraps.
3.  Bake in 400° oven for 12 minutes.


HOLIDAY PATÉ

Ingredients:
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 12oz Farmer Johns Liverwurst
2 Tbsp. onion flakes (optional)
Instructions:
Soften cream cheese and liverwurst.  Mix well with onion flakes.  Form into a ball.  Chill.  Serve with crackers (like Ritz).  Very popular among our friends.

TUNA LOAF (A CHRISTMAS FAVORITE)

Ingredients:
2 8oz. cream cheese, room temperature
2 cans of tuna
4 tsp. lemon juice
4 tsp. grated onion
2 Tbsp. capers
¼ cup chopped olives
½ cup finely chopped walnuts
¼ tsp. salt
⅛ tsp. black pepper
1½ tsp. dry mustard
½ tsp. thyme

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients and mix with a fork until well blended.  Shape into a ball and roll in chopped parsley, or use a fish-shaped mold.  Remove from mold and decorate.  Chill.  Serve with crackers.
